It is reported that Santiago metro has invited bidders to bid for the $196.9 million extension of Chile's Metro Line 6.

The extension of line 6 will be extended westward to Lo Errazuriz station. The 2.5-kilometer-long project will include civil works, terminal design and construction of the station.

The project is expected to begin construction in 2023 and be operational in 2027.
