It is reported that Chile's Ministry of Public Works and Communications has launched a tender for the project to modernize and operate El Loa Airport.

The technical bid will be opened on December 31, 2021, while the economic bid will be opened on January 27, 2022.

The project, estimated to cost $130 million, includes the expansion of the terminal from 9,400 square meters to 30,378 square meters to accommodate 4.3 million annual passenger traffic.
