It is reported that the construction of the Djougou-Pehunco-Banikoara road in Benin will begin in October 2021.

The 209.68km project is expected to cost us $240 million and will be funded by the African Development Bank, the West African Development Bank and the Government of Benin.

The project will be constructed in four phases, the first of which is the djougou-Pehunco section with a length of 72.48 km; Phase II: Pehunco-Kerou section with a total length of 72.94 km; Phase III: Kerou-Banikoara section, 38.56 km in length; Phase IV pK-Banikoara section, 25.7 km in length.
