It is reported that The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) has approved a $382.6 million loan for the expansion and improvement of Nicaraguan roads for 15 years, including a three-year grace period.

The restoration of the 185.22km road is divided into four stages, Including 119.5km of Litoral Pacifico Sur phase I, 8.07 km of Corinto City Roundabout highway, 46 km of Wapi el-Tortuguero Phase II and 11.76 km of La Calamidad-Empalme Masigue. The project also includes the construction of 16 Bridges.
