It is reported that The Indian Government will reportedly allocate Rs 19.3 billion ($259 million) for the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway project in Uttar Pradesh in fy2022-2023.

The National Highways Authority will be responsible for the construction of the six-lane highway, with construction scheduled to start in April 2022 over a period of two years.

The expressway will be connected by six overpasses, a railway overpass, 38 underpasses and three main Bridges.
